You are being asked to write down things that matter to you. You deserve to know exactly what happens to them. No legal fog — here is how it actually works.
Your account email, your name if you give one, your birthday if you choose to add it, and the things you create: memories, photos, journal entries, letters to your future self, Legacy notes, and reflections.
No other member can ever see your entries. Every table in the database enforces a rule that returns only rows belonging to your own signed-in account.
Administrators cannot normally see your content. The private admin dashboard is built to show counts and dates only — how many memories or journal entries exist, when someone last signed in, upcoming birthdays. It does not display the text of journal entries, memories, letters, Legacy notes, emotions, or your photos.
Being honest about the limit of that: Reset & Remember is not end-to-end encrypted. Your writing is not scrambled with a key only you hold. That means someone with direct database access — the operator of this service, or the hosting provider under legal compulsion — could technically read stored content. We do not do this, and the admin tools are built so it isn't part of anyone's normal work. But we won't claim a protection the technology doesn't provide.
Data travels over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and is stored on managed infrastructure that encrypts data at rest. Photos and voice notes live in a private storage bucket and are only reachable through short-lived links generated for your account. Backups are taken daily so an accident doesn't erase your history.
We don't sell your data. We don't run advertising. We don't share your content with third parties for marketing. We don't use your private writing to train AI models.
Reminders and reflection emails are optional and off unless you choose them. They are sent from notify.resetandremember.com and contain a prompt or a nudge — not the text of your entries. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can change or switch everything off in Notification preferences.
You can export everything you've written at any time from your Profile. You can delete your account there too — deletion is scheduled with a 14-day grace period in case you change your mind, after which your content is removed. Items you delete inside the app go to Trash first, so a mistake is recoverable.
Reset & Remember is for personal reflection, journaling, and memory keeping. It is not therapy, medical care, or crisis care. If you are in immediate danger, call or text 988 in the U.S., or call 911.
